    Cook County Board President Preckwinkle Community Roundtable

    Hanover Township hosted Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider's 15th District Community Roundtable Event with Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle today at the Hanover Township Senior Center. Over 30 municipal and business leaders from the 15th district attended the event. The attendees had many great discussions on economic development, building and zoning issues, health services and forest preserves.

    December Holiday Meal Box Distribution 2015

    Hanover Township Officials, staff and volunteers distributed meal boxes to over 400 Township families at the William Tiknis Campus in Bartlett. The meal box distribution was sponsored by Hanover Township, the Bartlett Rotary Club, Bartlett VFW Post 111018, Bartlett Lions Club, St. John the Evangelist of Streamwood and Knights of Columbus Mary's Millennium #12801.

    Food for Fines – Hanover Park Police Department Food Pantry Donation

    On January 26, Hanover Park Police officers and staff dropped off over 1,600 items collected from their December “Food for Fines” campaign to the Hanover Township Food Pantry. Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire and pantry volunteers assisted the officers in unloading the items. Thank you to the Hanover Park Police Department for their tremendous support of the Township Food Pantry!

    Hanover Township Jungle Flurry 2017

    Jungle Flurry 2017 was a total success! 45 fifth graders from Laurel Hill Elementary School, as well as their teachers and principal, participated in Hanover Township Youth and Family Services’ very first Operation Snowball, Inc.event. Our teen leaders rocked it out by empowering youth and challenging them to do things they have never done before. From cheers, to small groups, to team-building activities, the smiles on these students never stopped.

    Volunteers from Hanover Township and Immanuel United Church of Christ in Streamwood at the Northern Illinois Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry this morning. Food was distributed to 130 families.

    Hanover Township TRIAD - Who's Really Knocking at Your Door?

    On Friday, June 24, Hanover Township TRIAD held a "Fashion Show" of official personnel in uniform that residents might see around the community. Residents had the chance to see what each uniform and badge looked like to help combat fraud and other scams, as well as ask questions. Representatives from the City of Elgin, FedEx, Village of Hanover Park, AT&T, Village of Bartlett, Nicor, Comed, Village of Streamwood, and Hanover Township Emergency Services were in attendance. Thank you to all that participated!

    Holiday Meal Box Distribution 2016

    Hanover Township hosted its annual Holiday Meal Box Distribution on December 20 for qualifying residents at the William Tiknis Campus in Bartlett. Thank you to all the volunteers that braved the cold to help and to our sponsors: St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Streamwood, IL, Mary's Millennium Council #12801, Knights of Columbus, Bartlett Lions Club, Bartlett Rotary Club, Streamwood Woman's Club and Bartlett VFW Post 11018.

    HTES Re-Certification Presentation

    The Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) presented the Hanover Township Emergency Services Department with formal Emergency Agency Certification at the Hanover Township Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday evening. Certification by DHSEM recognizes the department's training program, disaster planning, and emergency response capabilities. The department is trained and equipped to assist public safety agencies serving Hanover Township residents on emergency scenes.

    Hoffman Estates Mayor Bill McLeod hosted an art reception on Tuesday, November 24, at the Hoffman Estates Village Hall to showcase Hanover Township Senior Artists "I-90 Labor" project, paintings celebrating the men and women who work on our Illinois highways.

    IUCC Bartlett - Heritage Marker Dedication

    Hanover Township dedicated its ninth Heritage Marker this past Saturday at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Bartlett. The church is the oldest place of worship in the village and has served as a community center for many activities over the years.     Mobile Food Pantry 8-23-16

    Hanover Township hosted a Northern Illinois Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry on Tuesday, August 23 for 140 families at the William Tiknis Campus in Bartlett. The pantry was sponsored by Prince of Peace Church of Schaumburg. Thank you to the Schaumburg Boomers and everyone that volunteered to make this event a success!

    Monthly Elgin Hispanic Network Meeting

    Earlier today, Hanover Township hosted the Elgin Hispanic Network’s monthly meeting at the Izaak Walton Center in Elgin. Over 55 people, representing local businesses, non-profit agencies and units of local government attended the meeting. Township staff gave a brief presentation on the programs and services available to Township residents and talked about the functions of the Izaak Walton Center.
