    National Veterans Art Museum Trip

    On October 21, Hanover Township sponsored a trip to the National Veterans Art Museum in Chicago. The veterans were treated to a guided tour with a guest Veteran speaker. Thank you to the Hanover Township Foundation for co-sponsoring trip!

    Summer Open Gym 6-8-16

    The Hanover Township Summer Open Gym program has officially kicked off! Yesterday 68 Township youth were at the Township's Izaak Walton Center & Reserve in Elgin playing basketball, soccer and creating arts and crafts. Township staff also gave a presentation on native birds and helped the kids build bird feeders to see what birds are in the area.     Sunnydale Elementary Food Drive 2015

    The Sunnydale Elementary School Ambassadors recently completed a three week food drive for the Hanover Township Food Pantry. These 27 students spent many hours sorting and collecting the donations for Township residents in need. Thank you to the students, teachers and all involved!

    Supervisor's Community Service Awards Dinner 2017

    Over 130 people attended the 2017 Supervisor's Community Service Awards dinner on April 13 at the Hanover Township Senior Center. Awards were presented in the categories of Business, Service Club/Organization, Adult Volunteer, Senior Volunteer and Youth Volunteer. Congratulations to all of the nominees and award winners!

    Thanksgiving Holiday Meal Box Distribution 2015

    Hanover Township officials and volunteers distributed Holiday Meal Boxes to Township residents. A special thank you to St. John the Evangelist of Streamwood, Kiwanis Club of Streamwood, Streamwood VFW Post 5151, Streamwood Woman’s Club and Knights of Columbus Mary's Millennium Council #12801 for their generous donations and volunteers.

    On Wednesday, February 3, Township staff accompanied a group of veterans on a free trip to Veteran's Memorial Hall in Rockford, Illinois. Over 20 Township veterans received a guided tour of the facility and enjoyed lunch at the hall.

    VFW Post 5151 Visit - January 9, 2019

    Hanover Township Trustee Gino Martinez and Veterans Specialist Cyndi Wollack stopped by Arnold-Heath Memorial VFW Post 5151 on January 9, 2019 to update members on the new and expanded services the Township now offers to veterans. This was also a great opportunity to talk with vets about issues with benefits and answer questions.
