Puppet Making: Part I
Mondays: November 6 - 27 & December 4 – 11
9:30 – 11:45 A.M. Donation: $24
On your mark, get set…GO! It’s time for a new production. Create a marionette based on a storyline by using paper mâché or air-dry clay for the head and neck. Use a combination of wood, wire and paper mâché for the body. The height of the puppet will not exceed 20 inches. This session is the beginning of multiple sessions for the next few months. During the months ahead, you will: become a puppeteer by manipulating the strings of your puppet; build stage props describing the story; act your part and have it recorded for the show; and practice, practice, practice! You must be able to walk up and down the stage stair for the performance. The story is unveiled in our first class. Plenty of ideas are given and the instructor will help you along the way. Registration required. Instructor: Sue Baptist
