Syria is at the heart of the contentious Middle East problems and solutions. Bill will personally escort you to the capitol Damascus, full of awe, danger, and intrigue. We will explore the ancient Roman ruins of Palmyra, which are systematically being destroyed by ISIS, on to the 12th Century Crusader castle, Croc de Chevalier. We will meet the people of Syria, enjoy their cultures and try to figure out the meandering market places, always tempted to buy their brilliant arts and crafts. You will see the Syrian society as the Syrians live it every day. Presented by world traveler, Bill Helmuth. Light refreshments will be served. Registration required.
