Award-winning author, Stan Banash provides a history of the Prairie State via short trips along the roads less traveled (US highways, state highways and county roads), taking you to the places where people and events contributed to the state's historic development. In the process, you will learn that there is more to Illinois history than Abraham Lincoln. He offers a brief overview of his book, Roadside History of Illinois offering attendees a window into the state's seven regions. Light refreshments served. Registration required.
