Hanover Township will host a Property Tax Appeal Workshop on Thursday, September 21 at the Township Senior Center (240 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett) at 6PM with Cook County Board of Review Commissioner George Cardenas.
Board of Review staff will present on:
-How to determine if an appeal should be filed
-The tax appeal process
The workshop is co-sponsored by Supervisor Brian McGuire, Assessor Khaja Moinuddin, Senator Cristina Castro, Senator Karina Villa, & Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions during and following the presentation as well as file for their appeals, onsite. Taxpayers wishing to do so are encouraged to have their 2021 2nd installment property tax bill or PIN at hand.
Hanover Township will be open for Cook County Board of Review appeals through October 17, 2023.
Taxpayers can pre-file an appeal online now with the Cook County Board of Review or visit the Township Assessor’s Office (250 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett) to file during regular hours. Evidence of comparable properties are not required to pre-file, these will be provided.
