A Taste of Kenosha & Racine Wisconsin

Tour includes escort, lunch, Kringle-making demo and a “goodie bag” with plenty of tasty treats. As we travel throughout the neighborhoods, we learn about the ethnic groups who settled there and the people who made major impacts with many of the products you see and use today. We make several stops to enjoy some local flavor including an Italian Delicatessen, a Danish Kringle Bakery, and a Castle made for Cheese. We see the beautiful lakefront areas, historic lighthouses, and ride a restored electric streetcar. Lunch will be included at House of Gerhard, a Kenosha favorite since 1964. Menu includes Chicken Spaetzle Soup, Bavarian Pot Roast, and Schaum Torte. The trip departs from and returns to the Senior Center. Please note: Transportation service is not available upon return to the Senior Center. Payment is due April 20. Registration required.
