Midcentury Cuisine

Remember Jell-O salads and cheese sprayed out of a can?  Remember when every pantry held Velveeta and al the kids wanted to drink was Tang?  Join Historian and Author Leslie Goddard for a nostalgic look at the food innovations and marketing approaches that transformed how we ate at mid-century.  Using classic cookbooks, advertisements, and family magazines, we explore how society and technology shaped American food from the 1940s and the 1960s.  Registration is required due to space limits.  There is a suggested donation of $5.  Please call (630) 483-5600 to register.
