Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican culture that celebrates and honors life and the spirit of the death. Enjoy the opportunity to learn and see more of this culture and meaning of the Dia de los Muertos. The National Museum of Mexican Art will be displaying exhibits for the day of the death. Before the museum, you will be going to Los Comales a Mexican restaurant. For your lunch, please choose from one of the following meals: 3 Tacos (chicken or Steak), 1 Torta (chicken, Ham or Steak) or 3 Cheese Quesadillas. All the options includes Mexican rice, beans and your soft drink. Lunch is included with your donation. The trip will depart from Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Rd., Streamwood. Payment is due August 22. Registration required.
