This presentation begins at the dawn of the modern era: Neoclassicism through early 20th century "isms." Participants will discover the visual clues that signal the style period or movement from which the work originates. The information is intended to make art lovers visually literate and to understand art at a glance, even if the work of art is unfamiliar, based on the use of visual elements, principles of design and subject matter.
