Understanding and Recognizing Style, Part II
Saturday, March 30
10:30 – 11:30 A.M. Donation: $6
This presentation begins where January's discussion left off: At the dawn of the modern era: Neoclassicism through early 20th century "isms." Participants will discover the visual clues that signal the style, period, or movement from which the work originates. The information is intended to make art lovers visually literate and able to understand art at a glance even if the work of art is unfamiliar using visual elements, principles of design and subject matter. Local artist and art history professor, Denise Laurin-Donatelle will discuss. Registration required.
