Hanover Township Assessor Thomas S. Smogolski and Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire will co-sponsor an appeal seminar on December 5 with Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak.
Starting at 6:00PM at the Township Senior Center, 240 S. IL Route 59 in Bartlett, staff from the Cook County Board of Review and Hanover Township Assessor’s office will be available to answer questions and accept property tax appeals. Residents are asked to bring their Real Estate Tax bill to the seminar.
“We often receive many questions about the appeal process,” said Hanover Township Assessor Thomas S. Smogolski. “With this seminar, residents can have their questions answered and file an appeal that evening.”
Hanover Township is open for Board of Review appeals November 28 through December 27. For residents seeking to appeal through the Hanover Township Assessor’s Office, the last day to file an appeal will be December 26.
Appeals filed during this period will be for the 2018 tax year, which will be paid in 2019.
