Hanover Township Assessor Thomas S. Smogolski, along with Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire, and Cook County Commissioner Timothy O. Schneider will co-sponsor a property tax appeal seminar on September 26 with staff from Cook County Assessor Joseph Berrios’ office.
Starting at 6:00PM at the Township Senior Center, 240 S. IL Route 59 in Bartlett, staff from the Assessor’s office will be available to answer questions and accept property tax appeals. Residents are asked to bring their Real Estate Tax bill to the seminar.
Hanover Township is open for appeals until October 1. For residents seeking to appeal through the Hanover Township Assessor’s Office, the last day to file an appeal will be September 27.
Appeals filed during this period will be for the 2018 tax year, which will be paid in 2019.
