BAPS Tour and Lunch

Come out and celebrate Diwali with a tour of The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a traditional Hindu place of worship located in Bartlett, IL. Please wear socks as you have to remove your shoes. Also, NO sleeveless tops, shorts, or skirts shorter than knee length are allowed. NO photos or video are allowed inside any buildings and cellphones are requested to be turned off. Please see their website (www.baps.org) for full guideless to follow while on the tour. The tour is approximately 90 minutes. After the tour, we head to lunch, included at Saffron Restaurant in Bloomingdale, where you experience some traditional Indian cuisine. The buffet includes Samosa, Paneer Tikka Masala, Shrimp Bhuna, Butter Chicken, Yellow Dal, Naan, Gulab, and Jamun with green salad, and Coke products. The trip departs from and returns to Senior Center. Please note: Transportation services are not available upon return to the Senior Center. You are responsible for securing a ride home from the Senior Center. Registration required. Payment is due August 18th.
